The Community Development Department has reviewed your application request to
have overflow outdoor seating for your Easter Sunday church service, pursuant to
Section 9.60.170 (Special Outdoor Events) of the Zoning Ordinance. Findings to
approve this request are:
1 . Adequate parking facilities exist for guests and employees; and
2. Adherence to the conditions attached to this application, as outlined herein, will
ensure that adverse impacts to surrounding properties and businesses will be
minimized.
Based on these findings, your Minor Use Permit application is hereby approved subject
to the following Conditions:
1 . Obtain a permit from the Riverside County Fire Department to install your tent
structures. Please contact Mr. Dale Evenson, Fire Safety Specialist, at (760)
863-8886. To expedite your request, please have your tent vendor submit
detailed information to the Fire Department via facsimile at (760) 863-7072.
2. The applicant and property owner agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless
the City of La Quinta in the event of any legal claim or litigation arising out of
the City's approval of this special event. The City of La Quinta shall have the
right to select its defense counsel in its sole discretion.
