The events include private parties that may have live entertainment, food and beverages for club members of The Hideaway and their guests. This approval is granted under Section 9.100.140 of the La Quinta Zoning Code under the following findings and subject to the following Conditions of Approval: FINDINGS: 1. The event will not be detrimental to the health, safety and general welfare of the community in the area of the proposed event. 2. There is adequate area to conduct the event and to accommodate the anticipated attendance. 3. Sufficient parking will be provided for the anticipated attendance. 4. Food service operations have been provided to the satisfaction of the Health Department. 5. Fire protection plans and facilities have been provided to the satisfaction of the Fire Marshal. 6. Public roadways providing access to the event are capable of accommodating the anticipated traffic volumes in a reasonable and safe manner with minimal disruption to local traffic circulation. Courtney Megaffin MUP 2004-560 Page 2 Conditions of Approval: 1. The events are to be. held on the dates and times as listed in the attached schedule. 2. The events shall be conducted as stipulated in the site plan submitted with the application for the events. 3. The applicant shall obtain a Building Permit from the Building & Safety Department for any temporary hospitality tent structures, stages, or electrical power prior to any installation.. 4. The applicant shall obtain all other applicable permits such as health and alcohol permits, if required, from the appropriate agency(ies). 5. Roadways, parking areas, and pedestrian traffic aisles to other activities in the vicinity shall be maintained accessible at all times. 6. The site shall be left clean and in its original manner after every event. Trash receptacles shall be provided so that trash/debris can be deposited accordingly. 7. The applicant shall meet all applicable requirements from the Fire Marshal and Sher'iff's Department. 8. Live music shall be limited to the hours of the event. Efforts should be made to attenuate sound so as not to impact surrounding residents and land uses. 9. By holding these events, the applicant agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the City of La Quinta in the event of any legal claim or litigation arising out of the City's approval of this project. The City of La Quinta shall have the right to select its defense counsel at its sole discretion. Adherence to these conditions as outlined herein, will ensure that adverse impacts to surrounding properties will be minimized. The City may elect to add Conditions to this application to mitigate any problems that arise not previously addressed herein.
