The Community Development Department has reviewed your application request to
hold the Indio High School 20 -Year Reunion BBQ at La Quinta Park on October 23,
2005 between the hours of 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., pursuant to Section 9.60.170 of
the Zoning Ordinance. Findings to approve this request are:
1. Adequate parking exists to accommodate guests and employees; and
2. Adherence to the conditions attached to this application, as outlined herein,
will ensure that adverse impacts to surrounding properties will be minimized.
Based on these findings, your Minor Use Permit application is hereby approved subject
to the following Conditions:
1. The applicant agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the City of La
Quinta in the event of any legal claim or litigation arising out of the City's
approval of this project. The City of La Quinta shall have the right to select its
defense counsel in its sole discretion.
2. A building permit shall be obtained if temporary electric facilities or stages are
proposed. The Building and Safety Department can be reached at 777-7012.
3. The use of amplified equipment for music presentations is permitted. The
applicant shall comply with the City of La Quinta Noise Ordinance (LQMC
9.100.210).
4. Parking restrictions for the existing park facilities shall be met at all times.
5. Additional trash receptacles shall be used during this event, and the site shall
be left clean of any litter once the event is over. Contact Waste Management
at 760-340-2113 regarding trash and recycling programs.

The City may elect to add Conditions to this application request to mitigate any
problems that may arise and not previously addressed herein.

or property occurring as a result of the activity sponsored by the permittee, and said person shall be liable to the City
of La Quinta for any and all damages to parks, equipment, and buildings owned or controlled by the City which result
from the activity of the. permittee or is caused by any participant in said activity. All persons exercising any of the
