Box 810 La Quinta, CA 92253 SUBJECT: MINOR USE PERMIT 2007-903 TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION FENCE Dear Mr. Meyer: COpY Your request for approval of Minor Use Permit 2006-903 allowing the installation of a temporary wooden fence for Tract 32070 on the indicated areas shown in green, is hereby approved with the following conditions: 1. The wooden fence shall be continuously maintained in good condition. 2. Once the temporary fence is installed, it can remain on-site for a six-month period. However, an extension of the six-month period may be applied for, with no additional fee, in writing to the Community Development Department before expiration. The Community Development Director may, after reviewing the facts, extend the use of the fence for another six-month period. 3. The only type of signage allowed on the wooden fence will be to direct construction traffic and indicate that fencing is temporary. No logos, advertising or banners will be permitted on the temporary fence. Any signage not approved under this permit will be removed at the owner's expense. 4. The fence shall not exceed 6 feet in height. 5. Fencing shall comply with Chapter 9.100.030 D. Visibility at Intersections. In regulating fences and other visual obstructions, it is necessary to preserve motorist sight distances and to maintain visual openness. Therefore, notwithstanding subsection C3 of this section. the height of fences, trees, shrubs, and other visual obstructions shall be further restricted as follows: P.O. The height of fences, trees, shrubs and other visual obstructions shall be limited to a maximum height of thirty inches within the triangular area formed by drawing a straight line.- a. ine.a. Between two points located on and twenty feet distant from the point of intersection of two ultimate street right-of-way lines; b. Between two points located on and five feet distant from the point of intersection of an ultimate street or alley right-of-way on one hand and the edge of a driveway or another alley right-of-way on the other if parkway width is less than twelve feet wide. 2. For purposes of this code, "point of intersection" means the intersection of the prolongation of the right-of-way lines, excluding any curved portion joining the two lines. 3. The height restrictions of this subsection shall apply to fences, walls, trees, shrubs, vegetation, or any other material which obstructs. or may obstruct visibility.
