RESOLUTION NO. RA 2006-003
A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF
THE CITY OF LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA, MAKING
CERTAIN FINDINGS PURSUANT TO HEALTH AND
SAFETY CODE SECTION 33445(a)
WHEREAS, the La Quinta City Council approved an S8 821 Program grant
application in the amount of $25,099 for the installation of a sidewalk on south
side of Westward HoDrive from the corner of Dune Palms to a point approximately
650 linear feet east; and
WHEREAS, the total cost of the proposed sidewalk improvements is
estimated at $ 50, 198. The City of La Quinta is committed to provide match
funding equal to 500/0 ($ 25 ,099) of the estimated project costs; and

WHEREAS, the City La Quinta's funding share was identified to be provided
by the City's Redevelopment Agency.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Redevelopment Agency of the
City of La Quinta, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 33445(a), the
Redevelopment Agency finds that:
(a) That the Facilities will be of benefit to the project area and to the
immediate neighborhood in which the Facilities will be located.
(b) That no other reasonable means of financing the Facilities are available to
the community.
(c) That the payment of funds for the acquisition of the Facilities will assist
in the elimination of one or more blighting conditions inside the project area and is
consistent with the implementation plan adopted pursuant to Section 33490.
SECTION 2. The Redevelopment Agency Board therefore authorizes
funding from Redevelopment Agency Project Area No.2 to serve as the City of La
Quinta's 500/0 match for the acquisition costs of the Facilities.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the La Quinta
Redevelopment Agency held on this 21st day of March 2006, by the following vote
to wit:
