LOCATION: 79-195 LATIGO CIRCLE
Dear Mr. Dalton:
This letter is to report approval of the setback adjustment application pursuant to Chapter 9.188
of the City of La Quinta Planning and Zoning regulations, subject to conditions and according to
the attached exhibits. '
SETBACK ADJUSTMENT REQUEST: To reduce the rear' yard setback from 10 feet to 8 feet
(i.e., support posts) for a patio cover with overhang of one foot into the eight foot setback.
CONDITIONS: =
A. Obtain a building permit from the Building and Safety Department..
After review it was determined that: • ; , ,
1. The adjustment is consistent with the intent and purpose of the Zoning Ordinance.,
2. There are special circumstances applicable to the property, including such factors as size,
shape, topography, location or surroundings that justify approval of the adjustment.
These special circumstances are: the lot is irregularly shaped which after construction of a `
residence created an irregularly shaped rear yard. • To comply with the required setbacks,
it would prohibit construction of a patio cover of adequate size for outdoor use.
3. This adjustment will not be detrimental to the health, safety; and general welfare of the
community in that it is entirely within the subject property.
