RESOLUTION NO. 2007-056
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION
FROM E. HOWARD LONG TO THE LA QUINTA FITNESS
CENTER :
WHEREAS, in May 2007, E. Howard Long generously offered a donation of a
Life Fitness treadmill to be given to the La Ouinta Fitness Center as a contribution
to the community in La Ouinta; and
WHEREAS, the gift was offered for donation to the City of La Ouinta and
was not given to or limited to the use of any particular employee or official; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of La Ouinta to accept the
donation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
La Ouinta, California, as follows:
The City of La Ouinta hereby accepts the donation of a Life Fitness
treadmill from E. Howard Long as a contribution to the community of
La Ouinta who utilize the Fitness Center.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the La Ouinta
City Council held on this 3rd day of July, 2007, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Henderson, Kirk, Osborne, Sniff, Mayor Adolph
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None
