RESOLUTION NO. 2008-007
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING
COMPLIMENTARY PASSES FOR THE FRANK SINATRA
COUNTRYWIDE CELEBRITY INVITATIONAL GOLF
TOURNAMENT
WHlEREAS, the Frank Sinatra Countrywide C~lebrity Invitational has
generously donated to the City, a gift of complimentary passes for the 2008 Frank
Sinatra Countrywide Celebrity Invitational golf tournament to be held February 22
and 23, 2008 at the Indian Wells Country Club; and
WH,EREAS, the gifts have been donated to the City and its personnel and not
given to, (ilr limited to the use of, any particular employee or official; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to accept the donation and to
direct the City Manager to control distribution of the tournament passes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of La
Ouinta, California, as follows:
1 . The City of La Ouinta hereby accepts the donation of
complimentary passes for the 2008 Frank Sinatra Countrywide
Celebrity Invitation golf tournament.
2. The City Manager is hereby directed to control distribution of
said tournament passes on a first-come, first-serve basis.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the La Ouinta
City Council held on this 19th day of February 2008 by the following vote:
AYES: Council Members Henderson, Kirk, Osborne, Sniff, Mayor Adolph
