The City of La Quinta, California
And
S & S Ice Company
This agreement is made and entered into between the City of La Quinta and S & S
Ice Company.
PURPOSE:
To provide after hours emergency supplies to the City 24/7/365 to enable
the City to provide continuity of government during emergency situations.
II. TERM:
The length of this agreement shall be five (5) years from the date of signing
or until at which time it is cancelled in writing by either party, which
cancellation becomes effective 30 days upon delivery to the other party.
III. RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. The City of La Quinta will be responsible to:
a. make requests for ice products to S & S Ice Company, by
authorized City staff;
b. provide the locations and requirements in each request;
c. process invoice payments through normal finance office
procedures, within 30 days upon receipt of invoice;
d. pay the normal rate for ice;
e. assist S & S Ice Company in delivery access by notifying law
enforcement and/or providing a City vehicle escort as needed to
facilitate delivery to City facilities.
2. S & S Ice Company will be responsible to provide:
a. after hours contact phone numbers of key staff and or other
means of contact for emergency requests;
b. delivery as soon as practical, or as agreed to with the City staff
making the request, within the time frames requested;

c. emergency response any day of the calendar year during the
term of this agreement regardless of holidays, time of day or
weekend periods;
d. additional deliveries of ice under the terms of this agreement if
the emergency so demands.
