There should be no problem with this as these parcels are under single ownership. This has been confirmed with one of the County's recordation supervisors, as you already know. Regarding your previous application (LLA 87-034), I understand that you will be contacting Riverside County to find out how they wish to handle recordation of the application, so that the appropriate information may be prepared.
