Box 341 La Quinta, CA 92253 SUBJECT: BUILDING INCENTIVE AVAILABLE FOR MERGED LOTS IN THE: COVE AREA Dear Ms. Ostrowsky: In response to your telephone inquiry concerning the ability to participate in the above referenced program, the matter will be before the City Council for renewal on December 7, 1993. The program provides a waiver of application fees for Lot Line Adjustment and Parcel Merger applications, a waiver of building permit fees for the construction of single family homes on residentially -zoned properties within the boundaries of the program, and a fifty (50) percent waiver of the City Infrastructure fee. The program is due to expire on December 31, 1993, unless extended by the City Council. Concerning your Lot Line Adjustment 93-172 that was approved by the City of La Quinta on July 7, 1993, our records show that it was recorded by the Riverside County Recorder on July 12, 1993. According to the provisions of the incentive program, you will be eligible to participate and receive a fee waiver on a building permit and a 500 waiver on the City Infrastructure Fee if you apply for a building permit while the program is in effect. If the program is not renewed by the City Council, then these incentives to build will not be available. I hope that I have addressed your questions and concerns. 1 urge you to attend the December 7, 1993, City Council meeting to find out if the program will be renewed. Dear Mr. Watts: NUMBERS 773-123-020-7 AND 773-123-021-8 AUDREY OSTROWSKY WITHIN THE CITY OF LA Ms. Ostrowsky has requested a letter from the City of La Quinta offering explanation of events that transpired concerning a lot line adjustment that was approved by the City of La Quinta and recorded by the County of Riverside. Ms. Ostrowsky received property tax bills from your office for which she believes are incorrect. Ms. Ostrowsky made application with the City of La Quinta on June 28, 1993, for Lot Line Adjustment No. 93-172. The application requested was for the two above referenced lots in order to create two 75-feet wide lots. The City approved this request on July 7, 1993, and transmitted the new Grant Deed reflecting the lot line adjustment to the Riverside County Recorder on that same date. Subsequently, the City received a copy of the recorded documents from the County Recorder on August 30, 1993. The Recorders stamp indicates that the documents were accepted for recordation on July 12, 1993. In light of these events, Ms. Ostrowsky contends that she should have received tax bills of equal amount for the two lots since the lot line adjustment made them of equal size. I have attached copies of her tax bills and all pertinent documents relating to the lot line adjustment for your information. Your review of this matter is requested on behalf of Ms. Ostrowsky.
