FISCAL IMPLICATIONS: None. BACKGROUND AND OVERVIEW: The .37-acre vacant parcel was purchased by the City with Redevelopment Agency funds in June 2011. The City is in the process of merging City -owned and Housing Authority -owned properties that are adjacent to each other in the Village thus creating larger, more developable parcels. This parcel is one of two properties in the Village that are being merged (Vicinity Map - Attachment 2); the other is owned by the Housing Authority. In order to proceed with the parcel merger, both parcels must be under the same ownership. In the future, the goal is to develop this property with affordable housing and therefore, this property should be conveyed to the Housing Authority.
