Subject: Sign Application 99-485 /Plot Plan 87 -381 Amendment 2 - Sign Program
Dear Mr. Buffin,
The Community Development Department is in receipt of your application referenced
above. In order to maintain consistency with the original Sign Program case number, staff
has renumbered the application as Plot Plan 87 -381 Amendment 2. All further
communications and documents related to this application should use the original case
number.
Staff has reviewed the application materials submitted, and has determined the application
incomplete per Government Code Section 65943. Staff has the following comments:
The property owner's signature has not been received for the application. The
application is not considered complete until such signature is received. No action
can take place until the application is deemed complete. The request is an
amendment to an approved Plot Plan for which the City now classifies as a Site
Development Permit. Site Development Permits are subject to review by public
hearing. Therefore, this request is also subject to public hearing. Please submit a
public hearing notification package containing Assessors map pages marking the
subject property and all parcels within a 500 foot radius of the subject property; a
typed list of the parcel owners within the 500 foot radius, which has been certified
by a title company, architect, or engineer, and three (3) sets of typed, self- adhesive,
addressed labels for the above parcel owners. When this is received, the
application can be scheduled for a public hearing before the Planning Commission.
2. The Sign Program exhibits that you submitted need to be revised and expanded to
indicate current ownership, include complete wording, be legible (preferably
typewritten), and organized as a complete Sign Program, not just the exhibits for the
proposed sign. Colored exhibits shall be submitted for the proposed Sign Program
Amendment. All exhibits shall be dimensioned and to scale.
