SUBJECT: TEMPORARY USE PERMIT 2018-0006: BASKIN ROBBINS COMMERCIAL EVENT
Dear Ms. Gonzales:
The Design and Development Department has reviewed and approved your request to hold a commercial
event at the Baskin Robbins property at 78-520 Highway 111. The approval of the event is granted under
Section 9.100.120 (Sidewalk sales and commercial events) of the La Quinta Municipal Code subject to the
following Conditions of Approval:
1. The event shall be held between 10:00am and 10:00pm on May 12, 2018.
2. The event area shall be monitored and secured at all times.
3. The event shall be contained within the patio and sidewalk area as identified on the plans
submitted and attached as part of this application.
4. Roadways, parking areas, and pedestrian and vehicular traffic aisles to other businesses and
activities in the vicinity shall be maintained accessible at all times.
5. Adequate and legal pedestrian access shall be maintained around merchandise and displayed
placed on a sidewalk or walkway.
6. A temporary banner is allowed as part of this event, to be designed per the submitted and
attached drawings and shall comply with Section 9.160.060 (Permitted temporary signs) of the La
Quinta Municipal Code.
7. The site shall be left clean and in its original manner at the conclusion of the event.
By holding this event, the applicant agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the City of La Quinta in the
event of any legal claim or litigation arising out of the City’s approval of this project. The City of La Quinta
shall have the right to select its defense counsel at its sole discretion. Adherence to these conditions, as
outlined, will ensure that adverse impacts to surrounding properties and businesses will be minimized. The
City may elect to add conditions to this application to mitigate any problems that arise not previously

Baskin Robbins May 12, 2018 event
We are planning to have a radio station live remote on our patio for 2 hours, balloon arch , balloons on
tables on patio ,possibly 2 people dressed in baskin robbins costumes greeting customers. Our hours of
operation are 10 am to 10 pm
