CC Resolution 2018-059 Minimum Wage Increase 2019RESOLUTION NO. 2018 - 059 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA, INCREASING THE MINIMUM WAGE RATE EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2019, AND AMEND THE CITY’S FISCAL YEAR 2018/19 SALARY SCHEDULE WHEREAS, the City Council previously approved and adopted the Classification Plan comprised of the Classification Specification schedule and Fiscal Year 2018/19 Salary Schedule; and WHEREAS, the City’s Personnel Policy Section 2.05, Preparation and Amendment of Classification Plan, requires amendments to the Classification Plan be adopted by a Resolution of the City Council; and WHEREAS, the State of California minimum wage rate effective January 1, 2019 is $12 per hour. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of La Quinta, California, as follows: SECTION 1. The City does hereby approve the increase in minimum wage rate and adopt the revised Fiscal Year 2018/19 Salary Schedule, attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference. SECTION 2. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption. The Fiscal Year 2018/19 Salary Schedule shall go into effect immediately.
