The proposal amends Chapter 9.60 of the La Quinta Municipal Code relating to standards
and criteria for the establishment of accessory dwelling units within residential districts
consistent with Government Code Section 65852.2.
No potentially significant effects on the environment are anticipated as a result of the
amendment to the La Quinta Municipal Code; therefore, a Negative Declaration has
been prepared in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act. The Initial
Study/Environmental Assessment and all documents referenced therein are available
for review at the City of La Quinta Planning Division, located at 78495 Calle Tampico,
La Quinta, CA 92253 on Monday through Thursdays 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, and Fridays
8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Comment Period:
The public is invited -to comment on the draft Negative Declaration during the public
review period beginning on June 21, 2017 and ending on July 10, 2017. Please provide
any comments to Gabriel Perez, Planning Manager, either by mail to the above address,
