This expenditure is $ and authorized by contract approved by N/A Initial to certify that 3 written informal bids or proposals were received and considered in selection The following required documents are attached to the agreement: N/A Insurance certificates as required by the agreement (approved by Risk Manager on date) N/A Performance bonds as required by the agreement (originals) X City of La Quinta Business License number LIC -0002612 Exp. 11/30/17 N/A A requisition for a Purchase Order has been prepared (amounts over $5,000) X A copy of this Cover Memo has been emailed to Finance (Sandra) Revised May 2017 AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO LEASE AGREEMENT WITH GREATER COACHELLA VALLEY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE This Amendment No. 2 to Lease Agreement with Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce ("Amendment No. 1") is made and entered into as of the 15th day of August 2017 ("Effective Date") by and between the CITY OF LA QUINTA ("City"), a California municipal corporation and Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce ("Tenant"), a California non- profit organization. RECITALS WHEREAS, on or about November 18, 2014, the City and La Quinta Chamber of Commerce entered into a Lease Agreement ("Agreement") to lease property described in original agreement; and WHEREAS, Amendment #1 modified Rent and Operating Charges from the original agreement on November 18, 2014 through July 1, 2016. WHEREAS, La Quinta Chamber of Commerce changed their name to Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce on or about April 5, 2016. WHEREAS, the initial term of the Agreement expires on November 30, 2017 and both parties have mutually agreed to amend the Agreement for one additional year; and WHEREAS, both parties have mutually agreed to amend the Agreement to modify the amount of space the tenant will lease from the City; and NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenant herein contained, the parties agree as follows: AMENDMENT In consideration of the foregoing Recitals and the covenants and promises hereinafter contained, and for good and valuable consideration, the sufficiency and receipt of which are hereby acknowledged, the parties hereto agree as follows: 1. Section 4 is amended to read as follows: Term. This Amendment shall commence on August 15, 2017 and terminate November 1, 2018. 2. Section 6 is amended to read as follows: Rent and Operating Charges. Beginning August 15, 2017, and continuing throughout the Term, Tenant shall pay to Landlord monthly rent for use of the Premises in the amount of One Hundred Thirty Two Dollars ($132.00) per month. In all other respects, the Agreement shall remain in effect. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City and Tenant have executed this Amendment No. 2 to the Agreement on the respective dates set forth below.
