It is bordered by Palm Springs thirty miles west and borders the city of Indio known as the City of Festivals to our east. In that timespan, La Quinta has grown from 2,247 residents to a population of 40,554. La Quinta has become a destination site known for its world class golfing amenities, and luxury hotels with La Quinta Resort being the initial existing one at the time of incorporation.
