XPark Noise Study- Request for Proposal
The City of La Quinta is requesting proposals from qualified professionals to assist
City staff in the development of a noise study related to a proposed skatepark (X
Park).
Project Description:
The City of La Quinta proposes construction of an outdoor skate park consisting of
87,000 square feet in improved area, 30,000 sq. ft. dedicated to facilities designed
for skateboarders and BMX riders and an approximately 2,000 square foot building
on a vacant sire located at the Southeast corner of Dune Palms R oad and
Westward Ho Drive. An improved parking lot area is proposed to accommodate 20
vehicle parking spaces.
The noise analysis shall evaluate potential noise impacts from the proposed X Park
and compliance with the Noise standards of the La Quinta Municipal Code and the
General Plan. Proposals shall include qualifications and consultant’s methodology
for preparing studies.
