XPark Cultural Resources Report - Request for Proposal
The City of La Quinta is requesting proposals from qualified professionals to assist
City staff in the development of a cultural resources report related to a proposed
skatepark (X Park).
Project Description:
The City of La Quinta proposes construction of an outdoor skate park consisting of
87,000 square feet in improved park area, 30,000 sq. ft. dedicated to facilities
designed for skateboarders and BMX riders and an approximately 2,000 square
foot building on a vacant site located at the Southeast corner of Dune Palms Road
and Westward Ho Drive. An improved parking lot area is proposed to
accommodate 20 vehicle parking spaces.
The cultural resources report shall identify any potential cultural resources in the
proposed X Park area. If cultural resources are identified, the cultural resources
report shall include a discussion of how to mitigate impacts on those resources.
Proposals shall include qualifications and consultant’s methodology for preparing
studies.
