AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO HOST VENUE AGREEMENT
WITH WORLD TRIATHLON CORPORATION (IRONMAN 70.3)
This Amendment No. 2 ("Amendment No. 2") to Host Venue Agreement
("Agreement") is made and entered into as of the 19 day of December, 2019
("Effective Date") by and between the CITY OF LA QUINTA ("City"), a
California Municipal Corporation, the CITY OF INDIAN WELLS ("IW"), a
California Municipal Corporation, and WORLD TRIATHLON CORPORATION
(Ironman 70.3), a Florida Corporation ("WTC").
RECITALS
WHEREAS, on or about December 19, 2017, the City, IW, and WTC
(collectively referred to as the "Parties" from hereonout) entered into an
Agreement to authorize WTC to prepare and conduct Ironman 70.3 Indian
Wells La Quinta triathlon race.
WHEREAS, the term of the Agreement expires December 30, 2020; and
WHEREAS, the Parties mutually agree to amend the 2020 event date
from December 13 to December 6, 2020 pursuant to Section 1(d) (ii).
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenant herein
contained, the parties agree as follows:
AMENDMENT
In consideration of the foregoing Recitals and the covenants and
promises hereinafter contained, and for good and valuable consideration, the
sufficiency and receipt of which are hereby acknowledged, the parties hereto
agree as follows:
1. Section 1(d)(iii) Race Dates is hereby amended to Sunday, December
6, 2020.
In all other respects, the original Agreement shall remain in effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Parties have executed this Amendment No.
2 to the Agreement on the respective dates set forth below.
