1992 Speed Zone Survey - JanuaryR =VERS 2 DE COUNTY
SHER 2 F F S DEPARTMENT
INDIO STATION
Cois Byrd, Sheriff Memorandum
TO: Ron Kiedrowski, City Manager January 16, 1992
FROM: Captain Ron Dye
SUBJECT: Speed Survey - Calle Tampico and Park Avenue
Attached are the speed surveys conducted on Calle Tampico and Park
Avenue.
Although the 85th percentile reflects speeds of 44 MPH, a
significant reducing factor exists in the fact that these streets
have been designated "a safer route" to the schools.
Due to the volume of children walking to school, the surveyed speed
and residential nature of the entire area, I strongly recommend a
speed of 35 MPH be posted.
