SPEED ZONE SURVEY

Speed Zone Survey
La Quinta Technical Traffic Committee
This speed zone study was conducted on Eisenhower Drive from
Ensenada monitoring the North bound lanes within the City of La
Quinta. This roadway has been selected by the City of La Quinta to
be enforced by radar by the Riverside County Sheriff's Department
under a contract for services.
The general area is residential and does fall within the legal
definition as such.

EISENHOWER DRIVE:
Eisenhower Drive from Ensenada to Calle Durango is a North-
South, four lane stripped roadway with a center divider. The
roadway surface is asphalt bordered by a raised concrete curb. The
center divider is raised concrete and earth with decorative
nn(Ing1)
shrubbery. The two North bound lanes are each 12 feet wide divided
by a stripe with an additional 8 feet of parking space.
Road length is 1 mile
Posted speed limit is 45 miles per hour
Conditions not readily apparent to driver: none observed
SPEED MEASURING DEVICE:
Radar brand: Kustom KR10
CONSIDERATIONS:
Numerous driveways that enter the traffic flow at slower
speeds.
