Thank you for your past participation as a Vote -by -Mail ballot drop off location. This
agreement serves as confirmation for use of City of La Quinta City Hall for the May 12,
2020, Special Vacancy Mail Ballot Election.
We would like to deliver the ballot box the week of April 6, 2020. The ballot box is
approximately 2' x 3' and must be maintained behind a counter in a secure area.
Registrar of Voters staff will retrieve ballots weekly. We will remove the ballot box from
your facility on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
As in previous elections, we will require a staff member from your facility verify that the
person dropping off the ballot is the person whose name appears on the ballot or is an
"Authorized Return Agent" for the voter. Upon delivery of the ballot box, a Registrar of
Voters staff member will provide training on current procedures for collecting ballots.
We greatly appreciate your support; for making democracy convenient and for your
consideration of partnership for the upcoming election.
