Please use proper judgement and caution when opening attachments, clicking links or responding to requests for information. ** Dear Mayor Evans: I strongly urge you and the City of La Quinta to deny zoning changes as proposed by the development of the Coral Mountain site. "The Wave Resort" by Merriwether Development Co. intends to install an 18 Million Gallon Surf Basin, 150 room Hotel, land-based adventure sports, skateboard runs, trails for electric motorcycles as well as events planned four times a year with 2,500 attendees. The massive daily and event traffic increase, noise from surf basin music loudspeakers and the movement mechanics of the wave machine will destroy the quiet enjoyment of those communities adjacent and close to this proposed development. This is simply NOT an appropriate location for such a transient, thrill ride attraction, extreme sports Adventure Playground. Please join me and support my neighbors to stop this aspect and approve only what is currently zoned for the site: homes. Thank you. Sincerely, Duncan Woodfin La Quinta, CA 92253
