We have contacted the HOA Directors and filed an appeal on their decision. We have been told to be patient and we are waiting to hear back on this. As I indicted earlier, we have indentified at least 15 or more homes in our community that placed their AC Mini-Split in the same location as ours. I have submitted addtresses and photos of at least eight homes within our street and next street. As we walk our community, we see more and more homeowners that did the same. Please be patience as we are trying to be on this situation;however, we do not want to be discrimated against within our own community. The HOA had requested that our AC Unit be turned off and not operated until this matter is resolved. I have noticed several residents in our community have the mini splits attached to the side wall of their garages rather than mounted on the    concrete slab. Would this make a difference with the city ordinance as far as the 5 foot from property line? Please advise.    Thank you so much regarding this issue. I am assuming that the HOA is contacting the city regarding this.    Thanks again,    Linda Horoshak  4           ‐‐‐‐‐Original Message‐‐‐‐‐  From: Carlos Flores <cflores@laquintaca.gov>  Sent: Oct 5, 2021 8:01 AM  To:   Cc: Julio Anaya <janaya@laquintaca.gov>, Aaron Hickson <ahickson@laquintaca.gov>  Subject: BMCH2021‐0313    Hi Linda,     Do you have any update or timeline from your HOA on when they are going to review and provide subsequent feedback  on your proposed AC equipment? We’d like a resolution from them quickly so then we can review all the information  and provide a resolution especially since the equipment is already out there installed out of compliance.       Carlos Flores | Senior Planner  Design and Development  City of La Quinta  78495 Calle Tampico | La Quinta, CA 92253  Ph. 760.777.7069  www.laquintaca.gov
