AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO AGREEMENT
WITH DESERT RESORT MANAGEMENT (PALM DESERT) C/O DESERT
RESORT MANAGEMENT INC.
This Amendment No. 1 ("Amendment 1") to Short -Form Services
Agreement ("Agreement") with Desert Resort Management (Palm
Desert) C/O Desert Resort Management Inc. is made and entered into as
of the 1st day of January, 2023 ("Effective Date") by and between the CITY
OF LA QUINTA ("City"), a California municipal corporation and Desert Resort
Management (Palm Desert) C/O Desert Resort Management inc.
("Vendor").
RECITALS
WHEREAS, on or about July 1, 2022, the City and the Vendor entered
into an Agreement to provide an unarmed security guard to patrol Short -Term
Vacation Rentals (STVRs), three days a week. The initial term of the
Agreement expires on December 31, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the City and Vendor have mutually agreed to extend the
Agreement for six additional months until June 30, 2023, in accordance with
Section 4 - Term of the Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the Contract Sum is being amended by an additional Twenty
Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) for a total not to exceed Fifty Thousand
($50,000) for the additional services listed above.
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenant herein
contained, the parties agree as follows:
AMENDMENT
In consideration of the foregoing Recitals and the covenants and
promises hereinafter contained, and for good and valuable consideration, the
sufficiency and receipt of which are hereby acknowledged, the parties hereto
agree as follows:
1. Section 4 - Term is amended to read as follows:
The term of this Aareement shall be from July 1, 2022 to December 31,
2022 ("Initial Term"). This Aareement is extended for six additional
months from January 1. 2023 to June 30, 2023 ("Extended Term"),
unless earlier terminated as set forth in the Agreement's Terms and
Conditions. This Agreement may be extended for an additional year.

2. Section 5 — Compensation is amended to read as follows
Vendor shall receive compensation for services rendered under th
