Both efforts are intended to secure a diverse and robust art program. The Event Site is a 14-acre park adjacent to the SilverRock Golf Course and will include water features, walking paths, and opportunities for various genres of artwork. Staff identified a restroom facility located in the center of the Event Site that is primed for a mural. Nate Frizzell painted the mural Bloom on Fred Waring Dr. and Adams St. in January and it generated positive buzz and community feedback. Nate Frizzell inquired about other art opportunities in the City and mentioned he would provide another high -quality mural at a generous price. There was strong public engagement after the completion of Bloom and as a result, Staff published a survey to capture resident feedback (feedback) regarding concepts and ideas for the mural at the Event Site. If Nate Frizzell, is selected to produce the mural he will use the feedback to develop the mural concept. Staff will present his proposal developed by feedback, to the Commission for review.
