SA 2003-718 WalgreensPLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION 2003-069 PLANNED SIGN PROGRAM 2003-718 WALGREENS CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL -FINAL SEPTEMBER 9, 2003 GENERAL 1. The signs shall be in conformance with the approved exhibits contained in Sign Application 2003-718, unless otherwise amended by the following conditions. 2. Obtain a building permit from the Building & Safety Department prior to installation of each sign. 3. The signs shall conform to the requirements of Section 1.60 of the Sign Code. The monument sign shall be moved closer to the project entrance on Washington Street, subject to City Engineer approval. 4. The signs shall be limited to the following standards: Sign Number Sign Area Max. Height Type Proposed Allowed Allowed Monument Sign (double- 1 50 sq. ft. 4 ft. faced) each side "Walgreens Pharmacy" Wall 2 50 sq. ft. 15 ft. from Signs (South and West elev) each sign top of sign to ground "Drive-thru Pharmacy" Sign 1 12.0 sq. ft. 15 ft. from (South elev) top of sign to ground "Exit" Sign (North elev) 1 3.0 sq. ft. 15 ft. from top of sign to ground 5. The returns on the signs shall be painted to match the building colors. 6. The sign permit shall expire one year from the effective date, unless a Building Permit is issued for the installation of the signs. 7. The applicant/property owner agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the City of La Quinta (the "City"), its agents, officers and employees from any claim, or litigation arising out of the City's approval of this project. This indemnification shall include any award toward attorney's fees. The City of La Quinta shall have the right to select its defense counsel in its sole discretion.
