*P3a. Description: The 48855 Avenida Anselmo property is a one-story, wood frame single-family residence. It was built in the
Contemporary style. The dwelling facing east from the west side of Avenida Anselmo. It features an irregular plan with an asymmetrical front
façade. The dwelling has a flat roof clad with asphalt and gravel. The roof has broad, overhang boxed eaves. An attached garage is located on
the north end of the dwelling. The exterior walls are clad with stucco, and with expanses of brick masonry. Fenestration across the property
appears to be steel framed single-pane windows and aluminum sliding windows. The front entrance is recessed behind a wooden gated
entryway shielded from the public right-of-way. Character defining features of Contemporary style homes that can be seen on the subject
property include: an asymmetrical façade, broad expanses of uninterrupted wall surfaces, a recessed couryard entryway, and horizontal
bands.

The 48855 Avenida Anselmo property was researched at the City of La Quinta, the La Quinta Historical Society, the La Quinta Public Library,
and via online archives including Coachella Valley Telephone Directories (1946-1957), City of La Quinta building permits, regional newspapers
within the UC Riverside California Digital Newspaper Collection, aerial imagery from ca. 1930s forward, and the Riverside County Assessor's
Office online property search. Results are limited. The property is not listed in available Coachella Valley Telephone Directories. See

*B6. Construction History: The subject property was constructed in 1967. In 1981, property owner Diana Carnick obtained a permit to
install gas piping to dwelling; the work was completed by Vallet Plumbing Company (Permit No. 8711). In 1997, Carnick obtained a permit to
reroof the residence; the work was completed by Sunrise Roofing Co (Permit No. 9701-0096). Aerial photography did not offer any additional
information regarding changes to the property over time. There appear to have been no changes to the form of the original dwelling apart
from pool repair work.

The home was built in the Contemporary style in the La Quinta Country Club subdivision, recorded in 1959, and is within the La Quinta Golf Estates
neighborhood. The subject property was constructed in 1967 by an unidentified builder.
The dwelling is associated with the themes of Residential Development (1934-1970s) and Recreation and Leisure (1926-1970s), being located in La
Quinta's first private country club and the first residential neighborhood associated with club. However, the property does not possess individual
documented significance in relation to these themes. The dwelling appears to be individually significant because it embodies the distinctive
characteristics of the Contemporary architectural style with a high degree of historic integrity built in La Quinta. The property is assigned the 3S, 3SC,
and 5S2 status codes: appears eligible for NR individually through survey evaluation, appears eligible for CR individually through survey evaluation,
