ADDENDUM NUMBER 1
TO: All Prospective Bidders and Plan Holders

SUBJECT: Project No. 2016-031, La Quinta Landscape Renovation Improvement — Cactus Flower
The following shall be considered as incorporated into the project plans and specifications for the above
referenced project. Portions of plans and specifications not specifically mentioned in this Addendum
remain in force.
■ PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS
Section 1100:
Sheet 1100-3, Replace paragraph 2 with the following:
As Reads:
All bidders shall be licensed under the provisions of Chapter 9, Division 3 of the Business and
Professions Code of the State of California to do the type of work contemplated in the project. In
accordance with provisions of California Public Contract Code Section 3300, the City has
determined that the General Contractor shall possess a valid Class A (General Contractor)
and/or C12 (Earthwork and Paving Contractor), at the time that the bid is submitted.
Subcontractors shall possess valid, suitable licenses for the work they will perform. Failure to
possess the specified license(s) shall render the bid as non- responsive.
Is Amended to Read:

Q1.Please confirm that the City of La Quinta installs the domestic water fountain POC on
page 15 and we are to connect to it.
a. Correct, the City will be coordinating with CVWD to install the lateral for the
Contractor to connect to.
The Contractor is hereby notified; Addendum No. 1 must be acknowledged and initialed as
stipulated under the instructions to Bidders and submitted as part of the Bid. Failure to do so
shall result in the City designating said bid as "Non -Responsive."
