RESOLUTION NO. 85-84
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA, TO JOIN THE COACHELLA
VALLEY JOINT POWERS INSURANCE AUTHORITY.
WHEREAS, the Coachella Valley Association of Governments has
developed a Joint Powers Insurance Authority known as the Coachella
Valley Joint Powers Authority; and
WHEREAS, said Authority will be developing insurance programs for
its members which will provide options for the City of La Quinta in
securing insurance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of La Quinta
become a member of the Coachella Valley Joint Powers Insurance
Authority and that the Mayor of the City of La Quinta be authorized
to sign the Joint Powers Agreement and First Amendment thereto which
are attached.
