A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING VOTING PRECINCTS
AND POLLING PLACES, APPOINTING PRECINCT BOARD MEMBERS
AND FIXING COMPENSATION FOR THE SPECIAL MUNICIPAL
ELECTION OF THE CITY TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY, JUNE 4,
1985, CALLED BY RESOLUTION NO. 85-17 OF THE CITY
COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, a special municipal election to be held on Tuesday,
June 4, 1985; has been called by Resolution No. 85-17, adopted on
March 5, 1985; and
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA,
DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That for the purpose of holding the special municipal
election, there is established four voting precincts consisting of
consolidations) of the regular election precincts in the City of
La Quinta established for the holding of State and County elections,
as the regular election precincts existing on the date of adoption of
this Resolution. That the polling places for the respective precincts
shall be the places designated; and that the persons named, being
competent and qualified electors and residents of the City are appointed
precinct board members for their respective voting precincts and they
shall conduct the election in the manner provided by law.
Voting Precinct 1. Comprising regular election precincts 43-501,
43-502, 43-503, 43-504, 43-505, 43-512 and 43-513).

SECTION 2. That the compensation of the persons previously named
as precinct board members is fixed at the sum of forty dollars for each
Inspector and thirty-five dollars for each Judge and Clerk for the
election. The rental fee for each of such polling places, where a
charge is made, shall be the sum of twenty-five dollars for the election.
When required, the compensation of the Custodian of a building shall
be thirty-five dollars for the election.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption of this Resolution and enter in into the book of original
Resolutions.
