A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE HOUSING
ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN BY INCLUDING MINIMUM
TECHNICAL REVISIONS AS REQUESTED BY THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of La Quinta previously
adopted Resolution No. 85-97 pursuant to Sections 65350 et seq.,
65354, and 65300 et seq. of the California Government Code
establishing a General Plan for the City; and,
WHEREAS, a Master Environmental Assessment has been prepared and
certified for the General Plan as prescribed by the California
Environmental Quality Act and identifies various mitigation measures
to reduce potential impacts to a level of insignificance or
identifies various impacts which cannot be so mitigated with a
Statement of Overriding Considerations; and,
WHEREAS, the adopted Resolution No. 85-97 granted provisional
approval of the Housing Element pending review and comment by the
State of California, Department of Housing and Community Development
as required by Section 65585 of the California Government Code; and,
WHEREAS, the State of California, Department of Housing and
Community Development, has recommended minimum technical revisions to
the Housing Element; and,
WHEREAS, the State of California, Department of Housing and
Community Development has advised the City that in their Opinion the
Housing Element, as amended, complies with the provisions of
Article 10.6 of the Government Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of La Quinta, California, hereby amends the Housing Element of the
General Plan as set forth in the attached Exhibit A", and finds no
further environmental evaluation is required.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall endorse on said
amended Housing Element the date of its adoption by the City Council
and the date of its recommendation for approval by the Planning
Commission.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the La
Quinta City Council, held on this 4th day of November, 1986, by the
following vote, to wit:
