RESOLUTION NO. 88-34
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LA QUINTA CALLING UPON THE RESIDENTS,
EXISTING COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS, TENANTS,
AND BUSINESS PERSONS WITHIN THE PROPOSED
LA QUINTA REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT NO. 2
TO FORM A PROJECT AREA COMMITTEE
0) WHEREAS, on March 22, 1988, the Planning Commission of the
City of La Quinta, by its Resolution No. 88-006, selected
boundaries of the Project Area Project Area") for the proposed

WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 33385 of the Community
Redevelopment Law, residents and existing community organizations
in a redevelopment project area shall be called upon to form a
Project Area Committee PAC) with appropriate representation from
residents, business and existing organizations; and
WHEREAS, The City Council desires that the PAC be of a size
conducive to the efficient conduct of business while constituting
a body representative of the Project Area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of La Quinta as follows:
SECTION I:
The City Council desires to form a Project Area Committee
PAC) consisting of, residential owner occupants, residential
tenants, business persons and members of existing community
organizations located within the Project Area. It is anticipated
that a PAC will consist of not more than seven 7) members to
facilitate conduct of business.
SECTION II:
The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to call
upon the residents and existing community organizations within the
Project Area to form a Project Area Committee.
SECTION III:
Such a call shall be made through a public notice placed one
1) time in a local newspaper of general circulation
