A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA, EXPRESSING SUPPORT OF THE
GREAT AMERICAN SMOKEOUT".
WHEREAS, on October 4, 1988, the American Cancer
Society asked for City Council's endorsement and support of the
Great American Smokeout" to be staged nationally on November
17, 1988.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council
of the City of La Quinta, does hereby support the Great
American Smokeout" and urges all residents of the City of La
Quinta to support this endeavor and give up smoking for the day
of November 17th.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 4th day of October,
1988 by the following vote:
AYES: Council Members Bohnenberger, Cox, Pena,
Sniff, Mayor Hoyle
