A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF LA QUINTA
INITIATING PROCEEDINGS ASSESSMENT DISTRICT
NO. 89-1 PURSUANT TO THE LANDSCAPING AND
LIGHTING ACT OF 1972).
The City Council of the City of La Quinta resolves:
1. The City Council proposes to form an assessment district
pursuant to the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 Section
22500 and following, Streets and Highways Code) for the
purpose of the following improvements: The installation,
servicing, maintenance, repair and replacement of various
landscape and lighting facilities within public streets and
designated easements adjacent to public right-of-way within
the boundaries of the City of La Quinta.
2. The proposed assessment district shall be designated
Assessment District No. 89-1, City of La Quinta, Riverside
County, California, within the boundaries of the City of La
Quinta, described by reference to the Assessor's 5 maps of the
Assessor of the County of Riverside, which maps are on file
with the City Clerk and are hereby approved.
3. Richard 0. Rafanovic, P.E., BSI consultants, Inc. is hereby
designated engineer for the purpose of these formation
proceedings. The City Council hereby directs the engineer to
prepare and file with the City Clerk a report in accordance
with Article 4 of Chapter 1 of the Landscaping and Lighting
Act of 1972.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 17th day of January,
1989 by the following vote:

& Mayor Pena
