CC Resolution 1989-015^ 8 RESOLUTION NO. 89-15
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING
THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED
CONTIGUOUS TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF LA
QUINTA, KNOWN AS ANNEXATION NO. 3.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of La Quinta
adopted Resolution No. 88-115 acknowledging receipt of the
petition for annexation and sphere amendment, consented to such
annexation and sphere amendment and authorized the submittal of
the appropriate Sphere of Influence Amendment and annexation
applications to the Local Agency Formation Commission; and,
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission held
a Public Hearing relative to Annexation No. 3 on January 26,
1989, and designated the City of La Quinta as the Conducting
Authority, and authorized the annexation Local Agency
Formation Commission Resolution No. 10-89) to proceed without
notice, hearing, or election; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council, as provided by the Local
Agency Formation Commission, considered said annexation request
on February 7, 1989;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council
of the City of La Quinta, California, as follows:
1. The City Council hereby declares that by submitting
a petition request for annexation the record
property owners of the City of La Quinta Annexation
No. 3 have waived all protest rights.
2. That the territory described in Exhibit *"A"!,
attached hereto and made a part hereof by
reference, be, and the same is hereby annexed, by
this Resolution, to the City of La Quinta.
3. That the City Clerk is hereby instructed and
directed to transmit a certified copy of this
Resolution to LAFCO along with any other required
submittals.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION
All that portion of Parcel 4 of Parcel Map No. 5361 as recorded
in Parcel Map Book 11, page 79, Records of Riverside County
combined with the North 55.00 feet of Fred Waring Drive and the
West 30.00 feet of Adams Street. All portions being within the
Southeast 1/4 of Section 18, Township 5 South, Range 7 East,
San Bernardino Base Meridian, being more particularly described
as follows;
BEGINNING at the southeast corner of said Section 18, as shown
on said Parcel Map Book 11, Page 79;
THENCE along the East line of said Section 18, also being
coincident with the centerline of Adams Street, North 0 degrees
00 minutes 20 seconds East, 1343.82 feet;
THENCE South 89 degrees 28 minutes 40 seconds West 1578.64 feet;
THENCE South 0 degrees 24 minutes 50 seconds East, 1341.07 feet
to a point of intersection with the south line of Section 18;
