A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING
THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED
CONTIGUOUS TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF LA
QUINTA AND CONCURRENT DETACHMENT FROM
THE SOUTHERN COACHELLA VALLEY COMMUNITY
SERVICES DISTRICT, KNOWN AS ANNEXATION
NO. 4.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of La Quinta
adopted Resolution No. 88-116, acknowledging receipt of the
petition for annexation and authorized the submittal of the
appropriate annexation application to the Local Agency
Formation Commission (LAFCO); and,
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No.
89-37, identifying the City's intent not to restrict, close, or
limit access to Lake Cahuilla County Park in any way; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No.
89-38, amending the annexation request before LAFCO (LAFCO No.
88-97-4) to include reorganization for detachment from the
Southern Coachella Valley Community Services District; and,
WHEREAS, LAFCO held a Public Hearing on February
23, 1989, which was continued to April 27, 1989, approved
Annexation No. 4 and concurrent detachment from the Southern
Coachella Valley Community Services District, and designated
the City of La Quinta as the conducting authority; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council considered said
Annexation request at a duly -noticed Public Hearing on June 6,
1989;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of La Quinta, California, as follows:
1. The annexation area is uninhabited.
2. Written protests have not been received, but if
received, represent less than 25 percent of the
number of owners of land owning less than 25
percent of the assessed value of land within the
annexation.
3. The territory described in Exhibit A, attached
hereto and made a part hereof by reference, be, and
the same is hereby annexed, by this Resolution, to
the City of La Quinta.

^ 9 4. The City Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to
transmit a certified copy of this Resolution to
LAFCO, along with any other required submittals.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED at a regular meeting
of the La Quinta City Council, held on this 6th day of June,
1989, by the following vote, to wit:

THENCE along the camon section line between
Sections 21 and 28, also being coincident with the center line
of 58th Avenue and the boundary line of La Quinta described in
AwLexation *2, LAFCO *84-31-4, North 89 degrees 41' 04" East,
1,320.65 feet to the Southwest corner of the Southeast quarter
of the Southwest quarter of Section 21;
THENCE continuing along said *oundary 1in*of La
Quinta described in Annexation *2, LAFCO *84-31-4, and the west
line of the Southeast quarter of the Southwest quarter of
Section 21, North 0Q degrees 1.4' 31" West, 1,323.15 feet: t* the
