RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LA QUINTA DESIGNATING THE RIVERSIDE
COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION TO PREPARE
THE COUNTY CONGESTION MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the State legislature has adopted AB 471 Chapter
106, Stats. 1989) requiring the adoption of county-wide
congestion management programs to coordinate streets and
highways transportation planning; and
WHEREAS, California Government Code Section 65089 a)
adopted as part of AB 471 requires that the County of Riverside
and a majority of cities within the County representing a
majority of the incorporated population adopt resolutions
designating the Riverside County Transportation Commission to
coordinate the developmentr adoption and annual updating of a
congestion management program within the county;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of La Quinta
hereby resolves as follows:
The City hereby approves the Riverside County
Transportation Commission as the agency responsible for the
development, adoption and annual updating of the County
congestion management program developed pursuant to Section
65088 et seq. of the California Government Code.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the La
Quinta City Council, held on this 4th day of
September 1990, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Bohnenberger, Rushworth, Sniff, Mayor Pena
