A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LA QUINTA CONSENTING TO THE APPROVAL BY
THE LA QUINTA REDEVELOPMENT AGE*CY OF A
DISPOSITION AND DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT
BETWEEN LA QUINTA REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AND
WES DEVELOPMENT COMPANY
WHEREAS, the La Quinta Redevelopment Agency hereinafter
referred to as the Agency") under the provision of the
California Community Redevelopment Law, is engaged in
activities necessary for the execution of the Redevelopment
Plan for the La Quinta Redevelopment Project Area One
hereinafter referred to as the Project Area"); and
WHEREAS1 the Agency is required by California Health and
Safety Code Sectio* 33334.2, * *., to expend a certain
percentage of property taxes allocated to it for the purpose of
increasing, improving and preserving the community's supply of
low- and moderate-income housing available at an affordable
housing cost; and
WHEREAS, in order to carry out and implement such plans and
duties the Agency proposes to enter into a Disposition and
Development Agreement the Agreement") with WES Development
Company the Developer"), dated as of April 21 1992, to
provide for the acquisition of certain property by the Agency
and the sale of said property to the Developer for the
construction of housing thereon to be sold to very low, lower
and moderate income persons and households; and
WHEREAS, the City has duly considered all terms and
conditions of the proposed Agreement and believes that the
development of the housing units pursuant to the subject
Agreement is in the best interests of the City and health,
safety, and welfare of its residents, and in accord with the
public purposes and provisions of applicable State and local
law requirements; and
WHEREAS, the City has received and considered the 33433
report of said Agency staff on the proposed development to be
carried out pursuant to said Agreement.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF LA QUINTA DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City finds and determines that the
Environmental Determination Negative Declaration) prepared
with respect to the development of the Site and all
undertakings pursuant to the A*reement indicates that the
proposed Agreement will not have a significant effect on the
environment and the Negative Declaration is hereby certified.
Section 2. The City approves the Agreement. The Mayor
and the City Manager are authorized and directed to execute
such documents as rnay be necessary and proper to implement the
Agreement.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly adopted by the Cjty.Council of the City of La Quinta
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 21 day of
April 1992, by the following vote:
