RESOLUTION *73
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
Crl'Y OF LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA, ADOFING A
MASTER ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT FOR All
ThRRITORY WrHlN THE CITY BOUNDARIES*
WHEREAS, the City of La Quinta the City*) has prepared a Master
Environmental Assessment the *MEA") pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act
and the Guidelines for Implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act California
Code of Regulations, Title 14, Section 15169) for all territory within the City boundaries; and
WHEREAS, the MEA was prepared by the City in order to provide an
assessment, inventory and environmental data base for all territory within the City boundaries
and includes information which may be used or referenced in envioonrnental impact reports or
negative declarations for specific projects in the City, including without limitation the current
update of the City's General Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the information included in the MEA
and has considered the MEA at a regular meeting of the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of La
Quinta that the Master Environmental Assessment for all territory within the City boundaries in
adequate and has been completed in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act,
that the City Council has reviewed and considered the information contained in the MEA, and
that the MEA is hereby approved and adopted.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the La Quinta
City Council, held on this 15th day of September, 1992, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Bohnenberger, Franklin, Rushworth, Sniff
and Mayor Pena
