RESOLUTION NO. 92-94
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF THE
GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY OF LA
QUINTA ON THE 3RD DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1992, DECLARING
THE RESULT THEREOF AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS AR*
PROVIDED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, a regular general municipal election was held and
conducted in the City of La Quinta, County of Riverside, State of
California, on Tuesday, the 3rd day of November, 1992, as required
by law; and
WHEREAS, notice of said election was given in time, form and
manner as provided by law; that said election was conducted as a
consolidated election with the Statewide General Election; and
WHEREAS, the Riverside County Registrar of Voters canvassed
the returns of said election and has certified the result to this
City council, said results are received, attached and made a part
hereof Exhibit A"; and
WHEREAS, that said regular general municipal election was held
for the purpose of electing the following officers of said City for
the purpose of electing the following officers of said City as
required by the laws relating to cities in the State of California,
to wit:
One 1) Mayor of the City Council of said City for the term of
two years;
Two 2) Members of the City Council of said City for the full
term of four years;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA QUINTA,
CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the names of persons voted for at said
election for Mayor of the City Council of said City are as follows:
STANLEY SNIFF
WILLIAM BILL" RUSHWORTH
JOHN J. PENA
SECTION 2. That the names of persons voted for at said
election for Members of the City Council of said City are as
follows:

SECTION 3. The City Council does declare and determine that:
JOHN J. PENA was elected as Mayor for the full term of two 2)
years; GLENDA L. BANGERTER and RON PERKINS were elected as members
of the City Council for the full term of four 4) years.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall immediately make and
deliver to each of the persons so elected, a Certificate of
Election signed by the City Clerk and authenticated; that the City
Clerk shall also administer to each person elected, the Oath of
Office prescribed in the Constitution of the State of California
and shall have them subscribe to it and file it in the Office of
the City Clerk. Each and all of the persons so elected shall then
be inducted into the respective office to which they have been
elected.
SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage
and adoption of this resolution and enter it into the book of
original resolutions.

the General Municipal Election held on November 3, 1992, as part
of the Consolidated General Election, in the

and I further certify that the statement of votes cast, to which
this certificate is attached, shows the whole number of votes cast
for each candidate for elective office, at said election in said
