A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA
QUINTA, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING CERTAIN TEMPORARY NO-
PARKING ZONES AND DESIGNATING ONE-WAY TRAFFIC ON 52ND
AVENUE, 50TH AVENUE AND JEFFERSON STREET, DURING A
CONCERT TO BE HELD IN THE CITY OF INDIO ON NOVEMBER 5,
and NOVEMBER 6, 1993.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of La
Quinta that pursuant to Section 22507 of the California Vehicle
Code, Section 12.32.010 of the La Quinta Municipal Code, the
following temporary no-parking zones hereby are established to be
effective during the period of a concert from 3:00 p.m. on November
5, to 3:00 a.m., on November 6, being held in the City of Indio,
inclusively:
1. Jefferson Street, from 52nd Avenue
north to Highway 111
2. 52nd Avenue, from the east city
limits to Jefferson Street
3. 50th Avenue, from the east city
limits to Jefferson Street
4. Designating one-way traffic on 50th
Avenue from the east City limits
west to Jefferson Street and on
Jefferson Street from 50th Avenue
north to Highway 111, as determined
by the City Engineer and Chief of
Police of the City of La Quinta
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that pursuant to Section 22551 of
the California Vehicle Code and Subsection n) of said Section
22651, the removal and tow away" of vehicles parked or left
standing in violation of the above parking prohibitions, hereby is
authorized, provided that signs shall have been posted giving
notice of the removal.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 2nd day of November,
1993, by the following vote:
AYES: Council Members Bangerter, Perkins, Sniff,
Mayor Pena
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: Council Member McCartney
