A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA
QUINTA AMENDING RESOLUTION 93-57 BY WITHDRAWING THE
REQUEST TO DETACH FROM THE RIVERSIDE COUNTY
REGIONAL PARK AND OPEN SPACE DISTRICT FOR
ANNEX*ON #9 TO BE CONSmERED BY THE LOCAL AGENCY
FORM*ON COMMISSION.
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of La Quinta that,
WHEREAS, the City of La Quinta, California desires LAFCO to consider our
application previously submitted, for Annexation #9 and Sphere of Influence #9 LAFCO 93-35-
4); and,
WHEREAS, the City of La Quinta, California has requested LAFCO to consider
reorganization to include Annexation #9 and Sphere of Influence #9 to the City of La Quinta,
concurrent annexation to the City's Landscaping and Lighting Assessment District 89-1 and
concurrent detachment from the Southern Coachella Valley Community Service District and the
Riverside County Regional Park and Open Space District; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Resolution 93-57 is
hereby amended to eliminate the request for detachment from the Riverside County Regional
Park and Open Space District and that the Local Agency Formation Commission of Riverside
County is hereby requested to take proceedings for the Annexation #9 LAFCO case #93-354)
according to the terms and conditions stated above and in the manner provided by the Cortes-
Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the La Quinta
City Council, held on this 7th day of December, 1993, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Bangerter, Sniff, McCartney, Perkins, Mayor Pena
