RESOL*ON OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA
QUINTA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING ThE INITIATION OF
PROCEEDINGS AND THE ASSUMPTION OF JURISDICTION BY
THE COACHELLA VALLEY WATER DISTRICT FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF CERTMN WORK PURSUANT TO THE
PROVISIONS OF THE MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENT ACT OF 1913
C.V.W.D. ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO.93
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Coachella Valley Water District is
contemplating certain work within the City of La Quinta under the provisions of the Municipal
Improvement Act of 1913; and
WHEREAS, the project and the property proposed to be assessed for said work are
located in the County of Riverside; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Municipal Improvement Act of 1913, the consent of the City
Council of the City of La Quinta is required for the above proceedings; and
WHEREAS, the Coachella Valley Water District, in accordance with Section 10104 of
the Streets and Highways Code, has submitted to this City Council the proposed Resolution of
Intention and a map indicating the extent of the territory included in the proposed assessment
district.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of La Quinta does hereby resolve as follows:
Section 1. The City Council hereby approves of and consents to the initiation of
proceedings and the performance of work as described by said proposed Resolution of Intention,
within the area shown on said map.
Section 2. Said proposed Resolution of Intention is approved with the understanding that
the Resolution may be modified prior to its adoption or thereafter amended in order to carry out
the purpose of the assessment district and the consent of this City Council is hereby given to the
exercise by the Board of Directors of the Coachella Valley Water District of exclusive
jurisdiction over all proceedings necessary thereto for the purpose of consummating the same,
all in accordance with the provisions of the Municipal Improvement Act of 1913.
Section 3' The City Clerk of the City of La Quinta hereby is authorized and directed to
certify to the adoption of this Resolution and to deliver two certified copies thereto to the
F Coachella Valley Water District.
