RESOLUTION NO. 94-71
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LA QUINTA ESTABLISHING FILMING PERMIT FEES AND ADOPTION OF A
STANDARDIZED FILMING PERMIT APPLICATION FORM
WHEREAS, all the jurisdictions in the Coachella Valley have their own Film Permit Fee
Schedule and application forms; and
WHEREAS, this method of film permitting and fee schedule is not condusive to attracting
the film industry to the Coachella Valley; and
WHEREAS, the Palm Springs Desert Resorts has approved a standardized film fee
schedule and application form; and
WHEREAS, the Palm Springs Desert Resorts are requesting all member cities and the
County to approve the Standard Filming Fee Schedule;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of La Quinta in
regular session assembled on November 15, 1994, that the Filming Permit Application and
the following permit fees are hereby adopted.
1. Still Photography Permit Fee Schedule:
Application Fee $50.00 plus daily location fee
Daily Location Fee: $10.00 per day or $50 per seven days a week
2. Film\Video Production Permit Fee Schedule
Application Fee: $100.00 plus daily location fee
Daily Location Fee: $2500 per day or $125.00 per seven days a
week.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 15th day of November, 1994, by the
following vote:
AYES: Council Members Bangerter, Perkins, Sniff,
Mayor Pena
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: Council Member Mccartney
