OF LA QUINTA ESTABLISHING CERTAIN TEMPORARY
NO PARKING ZONES ON AVENIDA BERMUDAS, CALLE
CHIHUAHUA, CALLE MONThREY, AND CAU COLIMA
DURING A SPECIAL EVENT TO BE HEll) MARCH 25,
1995
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of la Quinta pursuant to Section 22507
of the California Vehicle Code, Section 12.32.010 of the la Quinta Municipal Code, the
following temporary No Parking" zones hereby are established, to be effective during the
period of a special event to be held March 25, 1995, inclusive Exhibit A"):
1 Avenida Bermudas between Calle Nogales and Calle Arroba;
2. Calle Chihuahua between Avenida Navarro and Avenida Bermudas;
3. Calle Monterey between Avenida Navarro and Avenida Bermudas;
4. Calle Colima between Avenida Navarro and Avenida Bermudas;
S. Designating one-way traffic on Avenida Bermudas to facilitate the movement of traffic
as determined by the City Engineer and Chief of Police of the City of Ia Quinta; and
WHEREAS, the above parking prohibition shall be in effect at all times during
the day or night when authorized signs are in place giving notice thereof; and
WHEREAS, that pursuant to Section 22651 of the California Vehicle Code and
Subsection n) of said Section 22651, the removal and NtoW away" of vehicles parked or left
standing in violation of the above parking prohibitions, her*y is authorized, provided that signs
shall have been posted giving notice of the removal; and,
WHEREAS, the following Conditions of Approval shall apply:
1. A permit for the proposed event will not be issued until the traffic safety details have
been approved by the City Engineer.
2. For the no parking signs, the applicant may utilize vendors or may request that the City,
at the applicant's expense, provide and place the signs.
3. If weather conditions affect the start of the Special Event, the City Engineer can elect to
permit the one-day event on an alternate date at his discretion.
