CC Resolution 1995-031 SunLine Services Group JPA^#HX IL RESOLUTION NO.95-31 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING SUNLINE SERVICES GROUP JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WHEREAS, Government Code Section 6502 authorizes the establishment of ajoint powers agreement entity by and among cities or between one or more cities and a county by way of agreement; WHEREAS, the City of La Quinta desires to enter into an agreement to participate in a joint powers entity separate from SunLine Transit Agency to operate and own a compressed natural gas file ling station to facilitate the operation of vehicles powered by compressed natural gas; and WHEREAS, the City of La Quinta may desire to request Suiline Services Group to perform other functions on behalf of the City in the future by way of an implementation agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of La Quinta as follows: SECTION 1. SUNLINE SERVICES GROUP JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT APPROVED. The SunLine Services Group Joint Powers Agreement, a copy of which is on file in the City Clerk's Office is hereby approved, and the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute such agreement for and on behalf of the City of La Quinta.
