A RESOL*ON OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA, CONFIRMING
THE EXPIR*ON DATh FOR AGRICULTURAL
PRESERVE NO.74
WHEREAS, Josef and Gloria Gorelik and the County of Riverside entered into a Land
Conservation Contract dated September 3, 1976, and effective January 1, 1977, which Contract,
pursuant to the Land Conservation Act of 1965, established Coachella Valley Agricultural Preserve
No.74, Map No.283; and,
WHEREAS, on November 3, 1986, Dixie Savings and Loan Association and
Landmark Land Company, Inc., as successor owners to Gorelik did record a Notice of Non-Renewal
as to the Contract; and,
WHEREAS, the effect of the Notice of Non-Renewal was to establish January 1, 1986
as the commencement date for the final ten years of the Contract term, with such ten year term
ending, and the Contract expiring, automatically on and as of Midnight, December 31, 1995; and,
WHEREAS, KSL Recreation Corporation as the successor of Owner and the City of
La Quinta as the successor to the County each desire to formally confirm that the Contract will
expire, on and as of Midnight, December31, 1995.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the City Council of the City of
La Quinta, California, does hereby formally resolve and declare that the Land Conserva*ion Contract
record dated September 3, 1976, and Coachella Valley Agricultural Preserve No.74, Map No.382,
shall each and both automatically expire and be of no fti*her effect on and as of Midnight, December
31, 1995.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the La Quinta City
Council held on this 17th day of October, 1995, by the following vote, to wit:
